6 ASC log No.792. The CRO was alerted to an incident involving a woman who was in a vulnerable condition who was missing from Southmead Hospital in Bristol. The team was tasked to search and area around Blaise Castle and Lawrence Weston. The team was tasked at 18:35 and searched until 22:30 in deteriorating weather conditions. Nothing was found and the team was stood down.

5 ASC log no. 580 The CRO was alerted to a stranded motorist at the top of Dracott Sleights on Mendip at 16:00. The driver and vehicle were recovered using a local farmer’s tractor.

06 / 01 / 2010

4 ASC log 217. This is an open log number issued by ‘Silver command’ to cover all 4×4 drivers in the team during the very bad wintery weather. The team vehicles SX and SV were responded several time under this log number. Assistance was given to both the police and ambulance services over the three days that this log number was in operation.

05 / 01 / 2010

3 ASC log 498. The CRO was called, just before it started to snow, to an incident in Binegar (Gurney Slade), at 16:05. A depondent woman was missing from home and was known to be heading for Binegar. With the appalling weather it was important to find her quickly. By tracking footprints in the snow it was possible to locate her. She was safe and well in Binegar. Stand down at 16:53.

2 ASC 311. The CRO was alerted to a despondent person in the River Avon near Crews Hole Road in Bristol. The specialist Water Rescue team as called at 12:46. The female was quickly located, in the river and was brought ashore at the Ariel Rowing Club by AFRS in their boat. The team Doctor examined the patient and cleared her for transport by emergency ambulance to BRI. The team was stood down at 14:43.

1 ASC log 1192. The team was put on Standby at 16:00. An 11 year old male was missing, who was believed to be in a vulnerable condition. He was quickly located safe and well and the team was stood down at 16:30.
